During the past forty years I have devoted myself to the spiritual, physical and emotional care of people at the end of life and to their loved ones. With compassion, knowledge and experience I have supported people to live comfortably and to transition peacefully.
I work with individuals and groups in hospice and hospital settings, and in my Little Healing Room private practice, incorporating Reiki with Acutonics* sound therapy to promote health and well-being. I also teach an “Acutonics at End of Life” class.
In addition to caring for people at end of life, I work with people who are dealing with other physical, emotional and spiritual disharmonies such as sciatica, depression, stress, anxiety, grief, headaches, pain, neuralgia, etc.
Acutonics® Sound Healing is an energy-based Chinese medicine treatment using precision-calibrated tuning forks that are applied to specific acupuncture, acupressure, and trigger points of the body to access the body’s meridian and chakra energy systems.
Vibrating tuning forks are placed on or close to the body (in the body’s energy field), or held near the ears. The sound waves travel deeply into the body along energy pathways stimulating and balancing the body’s physical and subtle energy field to harmonize and promote physical, spiritual and emotional healing. These sounds, also known as "The Music of the Spheres", have the transformational power to allow for gentle transitions.
Reiki which means "universal life energy" in Japanese is an integrative vibrational medicine practice that uses energy fields, or biofields, to affect health. Energy biofield therapies generally reflect the concept that human beings are infused with subtle forms of energy, which surround and interpenetrate human form. Reiki balances these subtle energy fields. as the practitioner places hands on and over the recipient’s body to facilitate healing. The multileveled, rapid response to Reiki suggests a complex process that engages many body systems, shifting the body from domination by the "fight or flight" (stress) response to the relaxation response, and supporting the body's own healing mechanisms.
The benefit; feelings of peace, calm, reduction of pain and anxiety, with physical, emotional and spiritual comfort.
I combine Acutonics sound therapy and Reiki in each Little Healing Room session.
I developed a protocol using specific tuning forks and a two hour Acutonics end-of-life care workshop for both health care professionals and lay-people.
Contact me to discuss/schedule a Little Healing Room session, a training for your group or organization or to purchase the tuning fork kit.
